We offer what most western medicines can not. The traditional Chinese remedies used at Herbs & Acupuncture are a different approach from the western methods, still being every bit scientific and biological. They use these traditional herbs and treatments for ALL health problems.

So here’s a little something to explain Chinese remedies a little better… The Chinese believe the body has a Ying and a Yang, when there is an imbalance there is in turn an effect. Ying and Yang work in the body as hormones do. But cutting out all of that Ying and Yang, in simple terms, Chinese remedies are a natural form of treatment with no adverse affects. It is based on the concept that the body is run by channels in the body called meridians which affect different areas of the body. These meridians lead to specific points all around the body which affect other areas (because everything is linked). For example you have points in your arms which lead to help stop nose bleeds or heart pains!

Because of this, Traditional Chinese Medicines treat the whole body, not just the symptoms. Pain in one place will lead to other things being unable to function as usual.

Another example, you may have stomach pains, acupuncture may be the treatment used to treat you depending on other various symptoms you may have. The doctor may not just put needles in your stomach but also your hands, feet or head!

He worked for the TCM Orthopaedics and Traumatology Hospital for 10 years and then moved on to the TCM Comprehensive Hospital where he was the director of the TCM clinic department and he trained the TCM students and doctors.

In 2007, Mr. Yuan moved to the UK to share his passion and knowledge further. He has practised in Peterborough (2007-2008), Doncaster Frenchgate Centre (2008-2012) and Rotherham centre (2013) before setting up his very own clinic. 

Mr Yuan is a chief Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Physician, and an expert in acupuncture and herbal therapy. He has over 40 TCM articles published and is a member of ATCM and Academic Committee FTCMP.
